In keeping with yesterday's post...an article about a Burger of the Month club in NY (with the entertaining acronym of BOTM pronounced like a part of the anatomy that probably doesn't benefit from participation in said club). This is a brilliant idea via the NYT dining section. Now I wonder who I can rope into founding a DC chapter.

the kind of club that can easily be transformed into another selection. for instance, being a breakfast buff, I would start one for Benedict, something you can get everywhere, but varies widely in quality, craftsmanship and flair. also, I have an impromtu one in my head around Carrot Cake, the best being a place in Glenorchy New Zealand, pop. 30 where some chef really takes it seriously.
ReplyDeletecarrot cake is one of the few cakes i love. i can support that.
ReplyDeletealso, many people hate carrot cake so there is something wonderful about proving them wrong, like they've only had bad carrot cake their entire lives
